What are the fees?

$2820 per assessment

This includes a review of your records, approximately 5-6 hours of testing to assess a variety of skills (cognitive, academic, social-emotional), a detailed assessment report, and a feedback session to review your results and provide clear recommendations that support learning success.

Prior to the assessment, you’ll attend a 1-hour intake interview to share information on your (or your child’s) background, concerns, and current functionining, to help us plan for the assessment. This also gives us the opportunity to confirm that a full assessment is the best route to go. A separate Assessment Intake fee ($235) will be processed on the day of the interview before proceeding with the full assessment ($2820).

Please note that the rate for a standard assessment involves clarification of 1 diagnosis. If additional diagnoses are being queried, this would involve additional time (~2-3 hours extra per diagnosis) and expense. This will be reviewed with you at the outset of the assessment so our procedures are transparent and the nature and scope of the assessment is clear.

Career Assessment

*Not sure what you’d like to study at college or university? * *Finally get into the post-secondary program of your dreams and it’s not exactly what you thought it would be?* *Feeling stuck in your current job and considering a career change? * After more than a decade providing psychoeducational assessments for post-secondary students, we realize that success at college or university rarely follows from high school grades and IQ in a simple, linear fashion. Readiness for post-secondary school (& a future career!) is more than just academic preparation and getting good grades. Research has shown that a variety of *non-cognitive factors* (e.g., learning strategies, mindset, post-secondary expectations, motivation, perseverance, social skills, self-control) can be even more important for academic success than cognitive factors, such as IQ. In addition, the context and fit between a student’s needs and personality, and the academic environment also have direct effects on their attitudes, motivation and academic performance. Certainty about career goals positively affects academic persistence. Students are more likely to stay in school when they see a clear connection between their studies and their intended career path As well, people are often happiest when their careers align well with their personality, interests, and working style. Our unique **Compass Rose assessment** can clarify your path to academic and career success. This comprehensive assessment will provide you with a clear understanding of your aptitude, non-cognitive skills (e.g., grit, mindset, motivation, emotional intelligence), personality, and career interets, so you have the key information you need to make an informed decision for your future. You’ll receive feedback on how you can best apply your strengths and to improve (or work around) any weaknesses, as well as proven strategies to help you to perform at your best at school and work. You’ll leave with a list of jobs and related post-secondary / training programs that are the best fit for you, so you can experience the most success and job satisfaction. This assessment is suitable for senior high school students wanting to plan for post-secondary school, post-secondary students trying to decide on a program and future career, and adults seeking a career change. Don’t leave your future to chance! Get the key information you need to make an informed decision about your future and to map out your personalized path to success.
